As the Senior Manager ISC Finance EMI/IPD EMEA, you will lead all aspects of financial elements for European EMI (Electro Magnetic Instrument) and IPD’s (Infusion Preparation and Delivery) strategic manufacturing plants. You will own the consolidation of manufacturing plant performance as it relates to actuals, projections, and budgets. Partnering with functional business leaders and the plants on complex financial modeling and ad-hoc activities will also be required as needed.This position is ideally based in Eysins, Switzerland, but additional locations within Europe may be considered.

About the role
Direct supervision of 4 BD manufacturing plants, and OUS Infusion pumps contract manufacturing
Consolidate and report on manufacturing plant performance including Variances, Capex, and Inventory
Work closely with plant managers to support monthly process including analysis of variances to budget and forecast
Manage the capitalization and release of manufacturing variances to the P&L
Manage the activities of the accounting function for EMI and IPD’s European manufacturing plants to ensure the timely reporting and accurate presentation of financial results.
Oversee activities associated with the annual cost budget process, including material standards review, labor standards review, overhead spending, production planning, full absorption costing, gross profit reconciliation, and capital budgeting.
Recommend and implement changes to simplify and improve the accounting and reporting systems
Ensure that all accounting activities follow generally accepted accounting principles and BD accounting policies and are executed within the appropriate guidelines of internal control/Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Support sites development and submission of CB2’s
Maintains good working relationships with business unit finance/management as well as plant finance/management meeting regularly with teams to understand current projections and identify risks and opportunities.
Partner with EMI & IPD business and plant management to support financial modeling for new product cost, cost improvement projects, site selection process, and other analysis as required.
Leads all aspects of the selection, orientation, development, and retention of associates in the team (4-5 direct reports)
About you
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance Required
MBA/ CPA/ CMA preferred
Operations Finance, Costing & Analysis background
5+ years of relevant accounting experiences
2+ years of management experience
Previous experience within BDX Operations Finance preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong Financial systems and tools knowledge and utilization skills (SAP, BPC).
Advanced proficiency in Excel as demonstrated by previous experience creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) required.
Previous ERP costing experience (SAP highly desirable) related to standard cost build-ups and work order variance analysis.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to use logic, reasoning, and critical thinking in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Proven ability to build credibility with and challenge stakeholders to drive initiatives and deliver high impact solutions to meet business needs.
Resilient and persistent when faced with obstacles.
Collaboration and demonstrated ability to establish relationships and build rapport with all stakeholders, and influence management through informed discussions and presentations.
