Job Summary:

The Associate Director, Global Platform Marketing will be responsible for all aspects of marketing strategy development, execution, and analysis to drive growth within the peripheral IV catheter (PIVC) portfolio.  This individual will report to the Senior Director of Product Management and will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, finance, regulatory, clinical, and commercial excellence.  This position will lead efforts to develop new products and strategies to drive revenue growth partnering with region teams globally.  

Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic direction to drive the business in key regions.  This includes assessing the competitive landscape, identifying, and leveraging key portfolio opportunities and developing positioning to drive growth of the business.

  • Responsible for identifying and driving key innovation and sustaining projects through development and commercial processes by leading cross functional teams.  Works with teams to ensure timely execution and meeting of key deliverables. Includes working with country/region marketers. 

  • Develop strong commercialization plans that leverage customer insights, create effective pricing strategies, identify target customers and drive key messages to support commercial launch excellence.

  • Identifies and monitors key growth opportunities by understanding customer needs and portfolio opportunities.   Works closely with regions to update and analyze data to identify trends.

  • Subject matter expert for platform needs and workflows across stakeholders.

  • Ownership and ability to drive new product concepts through BD's global product development system and to ensure successful commercial launch with regional alignment.

  • Work closely with downstream and regional marketing to provide content and drive positioning of existing and new products.

  • Assess financial implications, including profitability and viability, for complex product/market trade-offs.

  • Manage market research activities to develop fact-based customer insights

  • Manage, coach and development their team

  • Travel requirement: Approximately 20%


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.  

  • Minimum of five years of experience in medical device marketing, preferably in product management. Experience managing international markets and partnerships strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.  

  • Ability to analyze financial data and translate into actionable insights.  

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and influence others.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
