Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Extrusion Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing processes and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. This position offers growth opportunities within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain extruders for continuous production of product

• Monitor product quality, adjusting as needed to ensure specifications are met

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks

• Load and unload materials manually or using hoists

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines

• Collaborate effectively with other operators and support staff to meet production goals

• Document process parameters, product quality, and other relevant information

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and productivity

• Availability to work overtime as required

Skills

• Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and FDA regulations related to medical device manufacturing a plus

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machine issues

• Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques

• Excellent communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and move around the production area

Preferred Experience:

• 1+ year experience operating extruders or similar machinery

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with SAP or comparable ERP systems a plus
