Technology Global Services (TGS)



Technology Global Services is the group behind building technology strategy and roadmap for BD. It’s a capability center within BD, entrusted to build and execute enterprise capabilities, develop standards for technology development and enable new age capabilities in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Automation among others.

Job Description Summary:

The Head of Integration & API role will be responsible for management and oversight of the technical Integration teams at the India Delivery Center. In addition, the role will be responsible for solution design and architecture, enterprise platform standards and program execution working across cross functional teams and technology partners across Project Managers, technical, functional, and business peers to guide the solution design efforts best suited to meet business objectives. Collaborate with Corporate Compliance, Supply chain, Commercial, Research and Development, and corporate functions. In addition to technical expertise, the role also calls for the ability to demonstrate effectiveness in execution, working with our delivery partners, application software vendors to ensure smooth delivery and transition to support for every project. Lead the team for Integration design, build, delivery, and transition to run activities.

• Provide leadership and direction to the Integration and API delivery organization in India to enable TGS Strategy and Portfolio outcomes.
• Develop productive relationships and strategic alignment with business partner teams, Platform Solutions, Project Mangers across the organization
• Manage application group personnel, developing their skills and capabilities to meet the needs of the organization, as well as focus on emerging technology. 
• Manage relationships with major platform vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.
• Lead/Build global platform solutions and services team to design solutions and undertake projects on SAP, Non-SAP related bolt-on’s and applications, and have overall responsibility for the health and management of these systems.
• Manage all phases of full life-cycle implementation projects, including blueprinting, design, development, testing, UA, deployment, and support.
• Create a culture across teams that drives successful delivery and adoption of technology and business process solutions.
• Serve as the technical delivery expert within integration solutions and provide delivery leadership to facilitate a collaborative partnership between functional and application delivery teams.
• Subject Matter expert in Integrations of Regulatory compliance and QA domain, MuleSoft Technical architecture in a large enterprise landscape comprising SAP, S/4 HANA, Salesforce etc.
• Technical experience with Multi-cloud, Hybrid solutions and Containerization technologies.
• Design and implement strategy for Regulatory and other Compliance functions to integrate using Publish-Subscribe model and real-time APIs.
• Define and enhance methodologies and practices for cross domain leverage of Interfaces in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement.
• Generates Integration effort estimates, delivery schedules and risk assessments.
• Collaborates in conceptual/logical architectures with Architects and Developers
• Develops and maintains business relationships with Business process owners, Platform leads and Development partners.
• Define and promote processes, policies, standards, and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and market trends within the integration space and make recommendations to align with the business strategic initiatives.
• Promote adoption of industry best practices for integration architecture frameworks, tools, standards, and guidelines
• Lead and/or provide support for a variety of project related activities across multiple business units.
• Provide oversight, guidance and feedback on vendor execution and delivery; ensure that there is appropriate alignment between architectural decisions and solution delivery.
• Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.
• This role requires flexibility to work in EMEA and US timezones

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of experience leading technology teams, strong technology & functional understanding, Health care and MedTech Compliance process, and solution mindset. In addition, the ideal candidate should also possess:    

• 15+ years of experience in the Information Technology within a Healthcare Industry/Enterprise.
• In-depth knowledge of MedTech industry and in particular medical device manufacturing the Supply chain enterprise.
• Experience and/or wiliness to engage in learning with MuleSoft, Boomi, AWS or other Integration platforms.
• Experience in SAP ERP Supply chain functionality, IDOCS and ALE Technology
• Experience and or willingness to engage in learning AL and ML, Git -CoPilot
• Experience in Project Delivery in multiple domains
• understanding and experience in API’s, Microservice Architecture, B2B and A2A integrations
• Ability to blend process excellence with a solution mindset to solve business problems. 
• Ability to communicate complex business / technical challenges in a simplified manner.

• Highly collaborative work style which includes working effectively across all organizational levels
• Ability to collaborate, partner with external vendors and service providers to manage solution design and delivery.

Education

• A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Also, IT Service management and Project management certifications
