Position Summary:

Our Pharmacy Automation team is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to contribute to a project that enhances pharmacy performance and device uptime through real-time analytics and detailed reporting.

Pharmacy automation, involving robotics and automated systems, plays a vital role in dispensing, packaging, labeling, and organizing medications with precision and efficiency. Our solution leverages Apache Kafka for streaming real-time events, ingested from software hosted at the edge, and Kubernetes to manage our cloud-based applications. In this role, you'll work with these cutting-edge technologies to build out observability, alerting, and fault tolerance capabilities of the team. Responsibilities:

• Should use programming knowledge - to craft and develop automated testing solutions

• Expand the capabilities of the framework to support the completion of automated tests against different testing environments and develop automated component tests to validatecomponent behavior

• Track system metrics like response times and resource usage during performance/stress tests, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

• Prepare a detailed test plan that outlines the test objectives, schedule, integration requirements, traceability, deliverables, test environment setup and resource allocation. It serves as a blueprint for the testing activities and ensures that the team follows a structured approach.

• Collaborates with the test team to create test scenarios and cases that cover all the possible functionalities and requirements of the software application. 

• Review test artifacts, such as test cases, test scripts and test data, to ensure the quality, consistency and adherence to the test strategy and plan.

• Consolidate and analyse the findings and prepare comprehensive test reports. These reports highlight the defects found, their severity and the overall quality of the software application

• Should support and mentor test engineering teams in their automation needs

• Collaboration with various stakeholders - Product Management, Application Development, DevOps, and other technical teams in planning and coordination is a must

• Test Plan Creation(use feature flag for work that spans more than 1 sprint)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of 9+ years of professional experience in Development or Test Automation Framework implementations in Development/Programming or test engineering experience & in open-source tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG/JUnit, etc.

• 5+ years of experience intesting distributed, cloud-native software systems and microservices.

• Technical expert who has experience to mentor the test team 

• understanding of design patterns, data structures, and layered architecture with knowledge of applying those aspects in test environments

• Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Selenium,Cypress etc. 

• Experience in automation testing of RESTAPIs and web GUIs.

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Accurate Knowledge of CI/CD technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.)

• Knowledge or experience in other languages/tools - AngularJS, Protractor, Jasmine, JavaScript, JMeter, UFT/QTP, etc.

• Experience in developing scripts using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to run performance tests (load, stress, endurance, etc.)against Web applications, web services and SQL Server.
