Summary:
Product specialists are responsible for developing relationships within their assigned territory with customers and distributors to meet or exceed sales objectives through effective product presentations. They identify customer needs and provide solutions by promoting products in their territory. In addition, they are also involved in maintaining good relations with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develops relationships with customers within the assigned territory.
- Identifies customer needs and provides solutions by promoting products in the territory.
- Maintains good relations with customers and distributors.
- Provides technical support and training to customers and distributors on products.
- Works closely with other departments such as marketing, finance, logistics, etc., to ensure smooth operations of the business.
- Assesses competitive activity and develops strategies to counteract it.
- Reports regularly to management on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
- Ensures timely payment of accounts receivable.
- Negotiates pricing and terms with customers and distributors.
- Conducts regular visits to customers and distributors to assess their needs and promote products.
Qualification:
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Healthcare industry, preferably in Medical devices in Operation theater.
- Good knowledge of biological sciences, medical terminology, and pharmacology.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Ability to travel extensively within the territory.
- Experience in Biosurgery portfolio will be an added advantage
