Our vision for “function or BU” at BD

With innovative pre-fillable syringes, self-injection systems, safety systems and needle technologies, the Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) team offer an extensive selection of solutions designed to protect, package and deliver drug therapies.

About the role

Under the supervision of the Sales Development Leader, the Territory Account Manager is responsible to grow regional accounts and develop small or new accounts in each territory, by being responsible for the sale of BDM-PS (BD Medical-Pharmaceutical Systems) products and services to pharmaceutical or medical device accounts.

The Territory Manager defines and rolls out a Territory plan to help improve value across existing and new product business for all BDM-PS platforms (PFS, SAIS and Safety) by demonstrating enhanced customer intimacy, growth mind-set and organizational agility.

The Territory Manager may also work on special projects assigned by BDM-PS Management.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Achieve or exceed SMART sales goals as established in the Territory Plan
  • Apply lean approach and standard offers to drive incremental profit or maintain current sales
  • Prepare and submit Territory and Account Plans, including unit sales forecasts
  • Implement innovative methods to identify and convert new leads
  • Develop customer intimacy through strong relationship-building and solution-oriented approaches, including coordinating customer interfaces, mapping key partners, and providing technical support.
  • Establish efficient working relationships with all customers’ contacts.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of territory accounts (both existing and new) and map key stakeholders and decision-making personnel within these accounts.
  • Provide technical support with relevant functional teams or by themselves on the standard offer
  • Participate in establishing an environment that empower teams to take high impact, timely actions in response to customer needs
  • Leverage the internal matrix organization and established internal network to maximize impact on territory, through regular presence at headquarters

About you

  • Bachelor’s in healthcare/medical/business management or engineering
  • 5 years of experience in B2B sales in a field related to Medical or drug delivery devices or marketing/sales of pharmaceuticals’
  • Outstanding analytical skills, initiative, and effective communication
  • Excellent presentation, selling, and negotiation abilities
  • Capacity to engage with diverse functions, lead teams, and manage complex projects
