The NextGen Finance initiative helps drive BD forward by seeking out and implementing innovative ways to operate effectively and efficiently. We are seeking a strong team leader with significant cost accounting and manufacturing experience looking to embrace and lead change in our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC Finance service line. Reporting to the ISC Global Service Delivery Lead, the ISC Finance Business Unit (BU) Delivery Lead will be responsible for managing a large team of multi-plant finance professionals and overseeing the team’s respective responsibilities while prioritizing process improvements.
This BU Delivery Lead is responsible for acting as a catalyst for change, embracing and sorting out ambiguity, and driving successful execution of innovative reporting and projects. This role provides the opportunity to influence ISC finance at a global level, business partner across a wide variety of cross-functional teams and flex finance knowledge when implementing new processes. Success in this role includes leaving your own personal mark on how ISC Finance functions in the future. Current associates outside the US will be considered for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Serve as a process expert to the respective global team for areas including but not limited to:
Month end accounting close and financial reporting;
Quarterly forecasting for all respective sites;
Annual budgeting and costing;
New product costing;
Balance sheet reconciliations;
Fixed asset and capital projects management; and
Year-end financials and necessary tax reporting.
Ensure timely/accurate reporting of financial data for various audiences with varying degree of need/financial understanding.
Stakeholder Management:
Work closely and effectively with stakeholders in respective sites and BU’s, NextGen Team and other finance teams within BD.
Interpret and provide guidance for application of accounting policies to business and finance partners.
Continuous Improvement and Compliance:
Actively identify process improvements within own team.
Prioritize projects being led by the ISC Finance End-to-End Process Transformation team.
Manage multiple, parallel priorities, while skillfully navigating and embracing changing environments.
Ensure financial results are recorded and reported accurately in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Leadership:
Commit to being a servant leader and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for immediate team members.
Act as a change agent role model for immediate team and beyond.
Lead and create a successful, empowered team of finance professionals.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance
6+ years of relevant cost accounting, manufacturing operations, or process optimization experience is required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, environment with strong attention to detail
Availability to flex working hours to support global teams that may be outside of natural time zone
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
Self-driven, curious, and proactive with a focus on continuous improvement
Knowledge of SAP and/or JDE and manufacturing standard costing is beneficial
Strong proficiency with Excel, as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools (PBI, PPT, etc.) is required
