Job Description – Project Manager Business Continuity
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are on time and within budget.
Material Analysis and Selection:
- Evaluate and select alternative materials that meet project requirements.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments for material substitutions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source and test new materials.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that substituted materials meet all quality and regulatory standards.
- Implement testing protocols and oversee quality control processes.
- Monitor and report on the performance of substituted materials.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Implement best practices for material management and substitution.
- Lead initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably in materials management or a related industry.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is often preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of material properties, testing methods, and regulatory standards.
