If you are seeking to gain experience in marketing within the medical device industry, this position is an excellent opportunity. The Non-Acute Marketing Intern will support the BD Non-Acute team and the Strategic Corporate Directors team with day to day marketing requirements and key projects to support key strategic drivers. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for marketing, excellent communication skills, creative thinking, and keen attention to detail. This position will work out of our Mississauga, ON offices Monday through Thursday, and from home on Fridays.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Non-Acute Marketing Manager and Strategic Corporate Directors with the execution of marketing strategies and tactics.
- Support the production and approval of new promotion pieces. Including - liaising with creative agencies to ensure timely delivery of assets, gather internal feedback and consolidating it for agency revisions, and supporting the copy approval process.
- Help with the coordination of marketing campaigns, including tracking and reporting on campaign effectiveness using analytics tools.
- Support the day to day requirements of the sales team, including literature and samples requests and support for conferences.
- Aid in market assessment activities, such as information collection, information organization, result analysis, and reporting findings.
- Engage in any other activities aligned with key business objectives.
Education and Experience
- You must be currently enrolled in an accredited Ontario based college/university, in a qualifying undergraduate program (Bachelor’s) and have completed at least 3 years of studies. Business or Life Sciences programs preferred.
- Must be in good academic standing pursuing their degree, combined with the ability to work for 4 months in the summer.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen attention to details.
- Bilingual French an asset
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software is considered an asset.
