Job Summary:
The Quality Technician performs all tasks related to the inspection of medical devices according to established procedures. The Quality Technician works in all areas of the production plant where there is a need for quality control. This position also requires knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal procedures for product release.

Responsibilities:

• Work in accordance with established procedures

• Perform visual inspections on raw materials, packaging materials, components, subassemblies and finished products

• Performs audits on manufacturing processes and equipment

• Conducts inspections on incoming goods

• Review nonconforming material records

• Generate reports on assigned projects or assignments

• Communicates with other departments regarding quality issues

• Train new employees as needed

• Participate in process improvement/Kaizen teams

• Maintain records and files related to assigned projects or assignments

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience (3 years experience in regulated environment)

• Ability to read, write and speak English

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Strong communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

• Previous experience in a regulated industry preferred

• Ability to perform basic math calculations
