Our vision for “function or BU” at BD
With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams.
About the role
The Installation Technician will be part of a team responsible for the installation of BD automation systems at our customers' sites including pharmacies and hospitals. Depending on the complexity of the system, you could be on-site for 2-10 days, supporting with unloading to handing over the tested system to the service technician.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Comply with all quality and safety regulations as required by BD organization, customers, and distributor agreements.
- Install, implement and support MMS hardware and software.
- Commissioning MMS product and related devices after installation.
- Provide written documentation to appropriate team members and customers.
- Order equipment and supplies.
- Unloading the individual components at customer sites.
- Assembling the automation systems.
- Testing the fully installed systems.
About you
- Diploma or vocational training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience is ideal
- Enthusiastic about technology, enjoys traveling, and working in a team
- Customer oriented, flexible, independent, and reliable
- Open to travel as needed
