Summary of Position

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering the go-to-market programs to enable the commercial success for Pyxis™ ES portfolio cloud capabilities for Health Systems within the US MMS Dispensing Team. This person will lead the US Region marketing efforts in support of organizational objectives. They will also be responsible for understanding the customer services, workflow and unmet needs required to achieve effective pharmacy workflows and analytic use cases for BD Pyxis™ ES medication dispensing products.   The person in this newly created position will have/develop deep working knowledge of the outstanding needs of handling medications and supplies, how BD Pyxis™ ES technology is implemented, upgraded and used and how services and support chips in to the “connected medication management” system. This role will focus on launching new capabilities for cloud enabled analytics and workflows and will require knowledge in cloud platforms, data integration/exchange, interoperability, predictive decision and AI applications within a shared services architecture.  

The position reports to the Senior Director, US Region, Health Systems Dispensing and will require close cross functional collaboration with the BD MMS Global Platforms, other MMS Regional Marketing Teams, as well as Sales, Clinical Sales Consultants, Customer Success, Service & Support, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal Counsel, Commercial Operations, and Finance.  

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting growth targets for the Pyxis ES™ automation portfolio in the US Health System market segment.

  • Helps develop markets and achieve above market growth rates.

  • Partner with Global Platform Marketing on market development initiatives while driving the adoption of new improvements and other innovations through full marketing launch support plans.  Provide VOC and feedback into product development roadmaps. 

  • Analyzes and understands the needs of target audience segments to see opportunities for growing brand awareness and improving customer engagement.

  • Develops and implements innovative marketing strategies to increase customer loyalty and retention.

  • Find opportunities to develop support tools/processes that increase sales productivity and effectiveness in the field (i.e. sales collateral, systems, tools – whiteboards, PowerPoint, digital campaigns, messaging frameworks and other tools required by the Sales Council).

  • Works closely with agencies and vendors to handle marketing campaigns, market research and 3rd party relationships.

  • Develop customer success material to highlight MMS successes and standard processes, including testimonials, case studies, videos, and webinars and other evidence generation tactics. Support demonstrations and discussions at tradeshow and safety center activities.

  • Effectively use digital marketing programs and Business Development Representatives (BDR’s) to deliver Sales Qualified Opportunities, considering a full omnichannel approach.   

  • Partner with clinical marketing and customer partnerships to improve key customer engagements. 

  • Leverage product knowledge to assist in the sales RFP / discovery / contracting process for Pyxis Pro Cloud.

  • Partner with Sales Leaders to drive sales process difficulty, training and funnel management to drive profitable growth.  Remove barriers and help overcome objections. 

  • Responsible for monthly demand forecasts and quarterly financial forecasts.  Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Operations to ensure timely and accurate communication of sales forecasts and key drivers of performance.

  • Stays abreast of regulatory changes affecting marketing practices and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Collaborates with internal departments to coordinate marketing activities with overall corporate strategy.

  • Respond to sales team’s request for support.

  • Participate in annual Marketing Planning/ASR planning activities.

  • Track sales results and forecast.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent field preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Marketing Manager or similar role preferably within technology, cloud, or analytics industry. 

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and data tools to derive and communicate insights to commercial leadership (eg: SFDC, PowerBI, Excel)

  • Confirmed ability to lead and motivate others towards common goal.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Passion for delivering results

  • Strong Customer Focus including experience with sales force and customers, and a bias towards responsiveness.
