Job Summary
The Global Network Planner will support the planning of global demand for finished goods in order to meet customer service levels, maximize productivity, efficiency, profitability and quality at all manufacturing sites globally. The position will develop and implement the master production schedule (MPS) on a monthly basis, ensuring inventory targets are met and resources are aligned with demand requirements. Additionally, this role will lead network optimization efforts by developing capacity plans and implementing strategies to improve resource utilization. This person will also provide leadership and guidance to other planners within the organization, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, finance, sales & marketing, and regulatory affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain MPS on a monthly basis

  • Lead development and implementation of capacity plans

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control, and Procurement functions to ensure alignment between business strategy and operational execution

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior planners

  • Monitor key performance indicators related to inventory management, asset utilization, lead times, forecast accuracy, etc., identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Participate in special projects such as new product launches or acquisitions/divestitures

  • Assist with resolving issues that arise due to changes in demand or supply constraints

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing costs

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify potential risks associated with supply chain disruptions and propose mitigation strategies


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience required

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience working in a regulated industry (preferably medical device or pharmaceutical) highly desirable

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles beneficial but not essential

Preferred Qualifications:
