The Associate Product Manager (APM) will support management of mature Specimen Management product lines through leveraging the BD Way of Marketing principles. The APM will also work across the business portfolio with other marketing managers to identify opportunities to streamline marketing tools and materials to support sales based on the stage of the product lifecycle. This role will report directly to the US Region Marketing Director with a focus on execution of marketing tactics.Job Description

Product management responsibilities:
Understand how clinical use cases, market trends, regulations/reimbursement, and published literature of product line can impact the product lines and overall business
Collaborate with sales and commercial operations team to ensure sales forecast is translated into proper inventory levels to support business operations
Collaborate with clinical marketers and digital marketing to execute on marketing strategies and tactics
Develop marketing literature and presentations
Provide sales training presentations
Collaborate with Sales to understand Sales Funnel and gather feedback on ways to support business growth objectives
Support long term strategy and tactics development based on the product life cycle and product position in the market
Support pricing tactical executions and potential development of promotions to support sales goals
Collaborate with Marketing Operations and Contracting teams to support pricing initiatives
Identify areas of opportunity to collaborate with other businesses to co-sell or co-promote product lines to convey the broader value of BD to solve customer problems
Support trade show execution
Cross-business responsibilities
Identify sales materials/tools needed based on product life cycle and opportunities to streamline training content (through collaboration with sales and other marketers on the team)
Assist in performing market and competitive analysis to support other product marketers on the team with creation of differentiated messaging across portfolio
Collaborate with Sales and Sales Enablement to streamline sales materials
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Strong skills with Excel
Good communication skills (written/verbal)
Ability to multi-task
Strong Analytical Skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Preference for Marketing)
2 years of experience in a sales or marketing function in a related life sciences discipline
Understanding of and ability to apply fundamental marketing concepts and techniques.
Understanding of how to manage products in a mature market
Ability to deal with ambiguity
Ability to influence without authority
Creative thinker
Competency with Excel analysis (preferred)
High integrity and ability to comply with organizational compliance programs.
Demonstrated ability to work as a strong team contributor, and to interact well and effectively with others
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to travel 20-30% of the time
