We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Digital IT/OT Integration Engineer to join our Smart Factory team in a medical technology manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in industrial environments, with a strong understanding of industrial automation processes, OT data collection, and basic industrial safety standards. The candidate will play a key role in supporting the large-scale "Digital OEE" project, providing support to the IT Business Partner team and acting as a liaison between the on-site Operations Technology (OT) team and other partners.Job Description
Main responsabilities will include:
- Gather requirements for configuration of Smart Factory solution: This involves understanding the needs and specifications required to set up the Smart Factory solution
- Co-ordinate with the site teams to gather relevant OT and MES data through standardized templates and tools: You will need to work closely with site teams to collect operational technology (OT) and manufacturing execution system (MES) data using predefined templates and tools
- Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure teams to enable the required network and firewall configurations: This task requires working with IT teams to ensure the necessary network and firewall settings are in place
- Support relevant document creation: You will be involved in creating and maintaining documentation related to the project
- Train site project team on the data collection templates: This involves training the site project team on how to use the data collection templates effectively
- Understand the different factory solution deployment processes and provide support in transmitting this information to the different teams involved: You need to have a good grasp of various deployment processes and assist in communicating this information to relevant teams
- Identify areas of automation to accelerate the data collection and on-boarding process: This involves finding opportunities to automate parts of the data collection and onboarding process to make it more efficient
About you:
- Bachelor and/or master’s degree or equivalent experience in technology, industrial engineering, electronic or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Industrial Environments, preferably Smart Factory deployments based on Industrial solution as Aveva, Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
- Familiarity with data collection processes in industrial fields, from PLCs, field machines, sensors... to manufacturing execution systems (MES) and other enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Enthusiastic about Digital Transformation, learning and adopting new emerging technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and critical thinking skills.
- A basic level of English (B2 or more) and an elevated level of Spanish (minimum C1) are required.
Travel:
- Anticipated travel is 5-10% (domestic and international).
